Physical Therapists

Our highly trained and experienced Physical Therapists (PT) help rehabilitate patients with serious injuries or chronic diseases and illnesses to manage and treat their pain. They are responsible for:

  • Reviewing medical history and diagnosing patient function from basic movement to address main concerns.
  • Develop care plans outlining patients’ goals and expected outcomes.
  • Use exercises, stretches, hands on message/heat treatments, and other remedies to ease patients’ pain and help increase mobility, prevent further pain, and facilitate health and wellness.
  • Evaluate patients’ progress and modify care plans when necessary.
  • Educate patients and family members on what to expect from the recovery process and how to best cope with challenges.

Occupational Therapists

Occupational Therapists help patients develop, recover, and improve necessary skills for daily living and working. They pinpoint patients specific needs to develop treatment plans addressing problems and how to better cope with them. They show patients how to use adaptive equipment such as back braces, walkers, shower chairs, wheelchairs and eating aids and help patients perform a number of daily tasks and function

independently.

 

Registered Nurses

Our team of skilled and Registered Nurses (RN) helps and coordinates patients care, educate them on their health conditions and provide advice and emotional support to them and their families. They are responsible for:

  • Recording medical history and symptoms
  • Administering medicine and treatments
  • Collaborating with Doctors
  • Operating and monitoring medical equipments
  • Monitoring Vital signs in every visit
  • Educating on treatments and management of illness and injury

Home Health Aides

Alpha’s Home Health aides improve the quality of life for patients through professional hands on care and kindness. Responsibilities include:

Speech Language Pathologists

Speech Therapists help prevent, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in patients. These conditions arise from a number of causes such as stroke,

brain injury, hearing, Parkinson's disease and autism. They do so by:

  • Evaluating levels of speech, language and swallowing difficulty
  • Identify treatment options
  • Create & carry out treatment plans associated with the patients’ specific needs
  • Use vocal exercise to help develop sound and improve
  • speech
  • Work to help strengthen muscles used to swallow
  • Counsel patients and family members on how to cope with communication and swallowing disorders.

Social Workers

Our team of Social Workers is highly trained behavioral analysts who help to diagnose and treat mental, behavioral and emotional issues that affect patients’ everyday lives.

They are responsible for:

  • Assessing the needs, situations, strengths, and support networks necessary to meet patients’ goals
  • Help patients adjust to challenges and changes in their lives such as illness, divorce, or unemployment
  • Research, refer, and advise community resources available to help improve and assist in the patients’ wellbeing.
  • Respond to serious crisis situations such as child abuse, or mental health emergencies.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their situations have improved
  • Develop and evaluate programs to ensure patients’ basic needs are met
  • Provide psychotherapy services when necessary
